Our Centre

Inverloch & District Preschool celebrated 50 years in its current location in 2019, in the beautiful coastal town of Inverloch but also serving families in the nearby districts in the Bass Coast Shire. 

We offer a sessional kindergarten program for children aged 3 and 4 years old which caters for the diverse needs of families. Our educational programs are play-based and focus on children’s strengths, needs and interests. The learning experiences provided are set up in beautiful and inviting ways with equal importance placed on both the indoor and outdoor learning environments. 

We build strong, respectful partnerships with children and families and have close ties with the local community. We have a strong partnership with the Inverloch Primary School which assists in providing a successful transition to school.

Kinder Programs

We offer free 3 and 4 year old kindergarten with our programs running 15 hours a week. Multiple groups offer families the choice to choose a group that works best.

Community Excursions

Excursions support children to explore and get to know different spaces outside of their immediate world inside the centre.

Kitchen Garden
Program

Our Preschool has its own vegetable garden, compost bin and herb planter boxes that we use for growing, harvesting and cooking healthy food.

Storypark App
Access

Storypark connects our educators with parents, providing the ability to share news, service updates, progress and exciting moments from kinder to home!

Space to
Explore

Our large outdoor play areas are designed to encourage learning and exploration. Our fairy garden, sandpit, running riverbed and digging patch stimulate play and imaginations!

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people, providing safe and fun environments for children to flourish.

Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. Enrolment & Session Information

Inverloch and District Preschool’s enrolment process is managed centrally by the Bass Coast Shire Council and is supported by the Y Kinders enrolment team who will provide information and support for any queries relating to your child’s enrolment.

We operate multiple groups of free 4 year old and 3 year old kindergarten programs on the days and times below:
