the Y
What better way to celebrate Education Week than to invite new and prospective families to explore wonderful learning environments!
More than half of our Y Kinders will be holding Open Days during the week, starting with Longwarry in Baw Baw Shire and Ararat’s St Andrews Kindergarten, and finishing the Week with with our services in Maroondah. A further nine kinders will open their doors after Education Week wraps up.
Across 12 Local Government Areas, Y Kinders are showcasing their safe, fun, and play-based programs, designed to promote discovery, exploration and ignite curiosity.
Ben Leersen, Area Director for Sunraysia said, “We’d really encourage all families to visit our amazing kindergartens on Open Day and meet our teams.”
Our kinders are community centred, and pride themselves on their welcoming and inclusive environments.
“It’s a great opportunity to experience and explore the kindergarten environments and find out more about our inspiring programs,” Ben added. “Our programs are child-led and focus on extending a child’s interests and learning. Our teachers and educators are committed to working in partnership with our families, for the best educational outcomes for all children.”
Kindergarten is free at all Y Kinders. Interested families are invited to come along to meet our teaching teams, ask questions, and experience the engaging and supportive learning spaces.
For all Y Kinder Open Day dates please see our full listing here.
Families that missed the Open Day, or couldn’t attend are encouraged to contact their local Y Kinder to arrange a tour.
