At Barriburn Preschool we run 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten programs. We have a huge playground, large established trees and garden, and a friendly, caring and relaxed atmosphere. We pride ourselves on being a small and inclusive community, with one group of children in the 3 year old group, and one group of children in the 4 year old group.

Our play-based learning programs are responsive to each child, are meaningful, and build on their interests, cultures, strengths and knowledge. We provide an environment that is safe and supportive, with a rich and diverse range of experiences that promote children’s learning and development.

Our Preschool’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. At the Y, we believe in the power of inspired young people and we feel there is no better time to begin inspiring than in an Early Learning program!

Enrolment & Session Information

Barriburn Preschool’s registration process is managed centrally by the Whitehorse Preschool Association (WPSA) and is supported by the Y Kinders’ enrolment team who will provide information and support on any queries relating to your child’s enrolment.

We operate free 4 year old and 3 year old kindergarten programs on the days and times below:

3 Year Old Kindergarten (2024)

Friday 9.15am – 2.15pm
 

4 Year Old Kindergarten (2024)

Day Time
Monday 9.15am – 2.15pm
Wednesday 9.15am – 2.15pm
