Dorrington Kindergarten is part of the new Dorrington Child and Family Hub, which is now open. The Hub will consist of services supporting the health and wellbeing of children and their families.
We are a sessional kindergarten offering free enriching programs for three and four-year-olds. A play-based learning environment featuring both intentional and emergent curricula, supports every child to thrive.
Our learning program is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework and tailored to the unique needs of each child. We believe that early childhood education is a collaborative partnership between educators and families and strive to facilitate ongoing engagement and communication with families around their child’s learning and development.
We incorporate real life experiences that connect us to home and community and provide a platform for social learning through peer engagement and nurturing reciprocal, respectful relationships.
At Dorrington, we encourage children to become independent and inquisitive learners through a blend of open-ended, intentional play-based learning experiences. Our program is designed to support, extend, and stimulate children’s interests, providing joyful learning experiences that lay the foundation for a lifelong love of learning and inquiry.
