Our Centre

A safe and nurturing learning environment for your child!
Through play, our children learn about problem solving, using their imagination, respect and working together, all while having fun in our caring and supportive environment. We offer 3 year old and 4 year old Kindergarten programs in our wonderful facilities, creating a great place to support and extend your child’s development and learning.

Children are given a voice and the power to make some decisions in our program, as we believe this produces a variety of rich and meaningful experiences. Kindergarten is a very exciting time for the children and their families and we aim for all to have very happy memories of their time at Dover Street Preschool.

Please note, that while redevelopment works are undertaken at our kindergarten we have relocated to the Oakleigh South Child & Family Hub, 1228 North Road in Oakleigh South.

We offer free 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, with our programs running 15 hours a week.

Excursions are a key part of our curriculum. Venturing out into the local area allows children to explore the world around them, and feel a part of the community.

Our large indoor and outdoor play spaces provide plenty of room to move and explore. Our rich learning environment supports social, emotional, cognitive, physical, technological and creative learning.

Multicultural
Curriculum

We are proud to provide a multicultural curriculum, teaching about diversity and understanding. This includes celebrating a variety of cultural events throughout the year.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. At the Y, we believe in the power of inspired young people and we feel there is no better time to begin inspiring than in an Early Learning program!

Enrolment & Session Information

Dover Street Preschool’s registration process is managed centrally by the City of Monash and is supported by the Y Kinders’ enrolment team who will provide information and support to families on any queries relating to your child’s enrolment.

We operate both 4 year old and 3 year old free kindergarten programs as a single mixed age group on the days and times below:

2025 session times are provisional.
