Our Centre

Originally started down by the river, Kathleen Kelly Kindergarten is  a double unit kindergarten in the heart of Mildura, on the corner of Lemon and Eighth Streets.

We offer one of the biggest outdoor play areas in Mildura, with large trees which provide natural shade and a welcoming environment for the children.

We are a family friendly and culturally sensitive kindergarten and believe that children learn best through play. We offer a kindergarten program which provides a wide variety of educational experiences and allows the children to follow their interests.

Our experienced educators are happy and friendly and pride themselves on delivering an educational program that assists the children to have fun, develop friendships and grow to their maximum potential.

We offer free 3 and 4 year old kindergarten with our programs running 15 hours a week.

Community
Excursions

Connecting with their community is important to develop children’s understanding of their world and widen their experiences. Incursions and excursions are a key part of our program.

Bush
Kinder

Bush Kinder allows children to experience uninterrupted play in natural settings and learn about their local flora and fauna through exploration and discovery.

Kitchen Garden
Program

Our Kindergarten has its own vegetable garden for growing, harvesting and cooking our produce. We promote healthy eating and teach our children about the importance of healthy foods.

Access

Storypark connects our educators with parents, providing the ability to share news, service updates, progress and exciting moments from kinder to home!

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people, providing safe and fun environments for children to flourish.

Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. Enrolment & Session Information

Kathleen Kelly Kindergarten’s registration process is managed centrally by the Mildura Rural City Council and is supported by the Y Kinders’ enrolment team who will provide information and support on any queries relating to your child’s enrolment.

We operate free 4 year old and 3 year old kindergarten programs on the days and times below:
