Lakes Entrance
Preschool

Our Centre

Where little minds grow, big imaginations thrive and learning is fun!

At Lakes Entrance Preschool, we aim to provide a welcoming, inclusive and supportive learning environment where every child feels safe, valued and a strong sense of belonging.

Our play-based program encourages children to develop relationships, explore, create, and follow their interests. We believe children learn best when they feel safe, happy, connected, and excited to learn.

We welcome families from all cultures, backgrounds, languages, beliefs and traditions and celebrate the diversity within our community.

We proudly acknowledge the Gunaikurnai People as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we learn, play and grow. We encourage children to develop respect, understanding and connection to Country and community.

Our Program

Our educators nurture each child’s individual strengths, interests and abilities, providing a balance of child-led, child-initiated and educator-supported learning.

Through hands-on expreinces, our high quality program encourages curiosity, creativity, confidence, resilience and fun!

Our Gardening Program provides opportunities for children to connect with Country, grow and harvest food, learn about healthy eating and develop an understanding of sustainability and caring for our environment.

We value strong partnerships with families and our local community and support children as they develop the skills, confidence and relationships needed for a positive transition to school.

Most importantly, we want children to love coming to kinder – making friends, exploring, laughing, learning, and leaving each day excited for what comes next!

From 2026, we’re offering 20 hours of Pre-Prep (more hours of free kindergarten for 4 year olds).

Safeguarding Children
and Young People

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people, providing safe and fun environments for children to flourish.

Philosophy

Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.
