Newhaven
Kindergarten

Our Centre

Newhaven Kindergarten is co-located with Newhaven Primary School and offers a bright and inviting environment for young learners within the community. Our new facility provides fresh opportunities in early education with its natural outdoor haven and its welcoming play spaces which cater to the needs of active children.

Being co-located with Newhaven Primary School provides a wonderful opportunity for interactions with the foundation level teachers at the school, creating a smooth transition, as children progress through their educational journey.

Our qualified and experienced educators acknowledge the vital role they play in the lives of every child. We strive to create a warm and welcoming environment, collaborating with families in sharing the vision of having happy, healthy children with an enthusiastic disposition for learning, and a sense of enjoyment and wonder. Through play-based learning opportunities, we aim to empower children to achieve positive outcomes in their learning and development, guided by the Victorian Early Years Learning Framework.

Throughout the kindergarten year, every child will explore, experiment, discover and gain essential skills that will pave the way for the wonderful journey of life. Through their connection with our community, the children will celebrate diversity, grow in their respect for themselves and others and gain confidence and skills.

Our team is passionate about fostering children’s connections with natural environments and the respect for all living things, including an emphasis on eco-considered practices within the educational program. Opportunities to embed First Nation’s perspectives and diversity of culture into the program are embraced.

We look forward to working with the kindergarten and school communities to develop the kinder environment and program to reflect local priorities and initiatives.
