Our Centre

At Norwood Preschool we provide children with opportunities to explore, imagine, play and discover their world!

We provide high quality 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten to children in the Ringwood community. Our programs are delivered by nurturing and qualified educators in a bright and welcoming playroom, and spacious outdoor environment.

Our programs are play-based to allow children to explore and experiment within our safe, educational environment. We believe children are active learners, they are naturally curious and gain confidence as they explore. Therefore, our program focuses on the individual interests and strengths of each child, whilst ensuring they meet their developmental goals.

3 & 4 Year Old
Kinder Programs

We offer free 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, with our programs running 15 hours a week.

Local Community
Focus

We connect with our local community and have regular incursions. Visitors focus on topics such as responsible petcare, drama, science, dental care, cultural learning, dance, Australian indigenous learning and sports.

Multicultural
Program

We focus on exploring different cultures and traditions from around the world and provide a multicultural curriculum, teaching about diversity and understanding.

Access

Storypark connects our educators with families, providing the ability to share news, service updates, progress and exciting moments from kinder to home!

Healthy
Eating

We promote healthy eating and teach our children about the importance of healthy foods. Our children are involved with our veggie patch and we incorporate cooking into our program.

Safeguarding Children
and Young People

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people, providing safe and fun environments for children to flourish.

Philosophy

Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. Enrolment & Session Information

Norwood Preschool’s registration process is managed by MIKA’s Central Enrolment Scheme (Maroondah Integrated Kindergarten Association).

We operate free 4 year old and 3 year old kindergarten programs on the days and times below:
