Our Centre

At Parkside Preschool, children are given time and space to play, discover and grow!

Parkside Preschool has been serving the community for over 60 years. We are situated on a large block, with well-established trees and shrubs, overlooking Hagenauer Reserve.

We offer 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten programs, where children are able to explore and experience many activities, both new and familiar. The children are encouraged to be responsible for their own learning and to develop self-motivation.

Within this safe, caring and fun kindergarten environment, our lovely staff help further your child’s social and personal development, and provide fundamental elements to create a life-long love of learning.

Parkside Preschool proudly displays the Kinder Tick to help families feel confident that our program is recognised as a funded kindergarten program and:

We offer free 3 and 4 year old kindergarten with our programs running 15 hours a week.

Sustainability

At Parkside Preschool, we encourage children to play, observe, interact and respect the natural environment, incorporating sustainable practices. We also teach and model reusing and recycling in our activities.

Community
Excursions

Excursions support children to explore and get to know different spaces outside of their immediate world at the centre. We run a variety of excursions and incursions to enhance learning and development.

Diverse
Curriculum

We are proud to provide a multicultural curriculum, which includes celebrating a variety of cultural events throughout the year. Families are encouraged to share their values, skills and traditions to enrich the children’s learning.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. At the Y, we believe in the power of inspired young people and we feel there is no better time to begin inspiring than in an Early Learning program!

Enrolment & Session Information

Parkside Preschool’s registration process is managed centrally by the Whitehorse Preschool Association (WPSA) and is supported by the Y Kinders’ enrolment team who will provide information and support on any queries relating to your child’s enrolment.

We operate both 4 year old and 3 year old free kindergarten programs as a single mixed group on the days and times below:
