Pinjarra Kindergarten is set in beautiful, well-established gardens and backs onto the Tarralla Walking Trail. Our wonderful natural environment provides lots of shade and we enjoy the sounds of plentiful birdlife including our kookaburra and native bird families which have made their homes in our trees.
We are thankful to the Wurundjeri people for allowing us to learn and play in this beautiful space and we recognise and respect their elder’s past, present and emerging.
At Pinjarra Kindergarten, we believe that children are active members of our communities with reciprocal rights and responsibilities. The children are collaborators in their learning, and we encourage children to be their best selves.
We recognise families as children’s first and most influential teachers. We work collaboratively with families and children in a play based, emergent curriculum to build the dispositions, skills and processes for life-long learning.
We believe in sustainability in the broadest sense. We focus on building connections, respecting each other, our equipment and our environment. We foster supportive, respectful and responsive relationships to care for each other and our natural world.
At Pinjarra, we believe we are one small community within the broader community and we strive to build connections and work in partnership with our wider community.
