Swan Reach & District
Preschool

Our Centre

At Swan Reach & District Preschool we aim to provide the highest quality care and education for young children, while supporting the needs of families in our community. Our program and environment are play-based and promote a caring, fair and inclusive learning community. Our centre acknowledges and respects a wide diversity of cultures, religions and backgrounds.

Our educators strive to nurture and support each child to achieve their fullest potential. Children are given a chance to investigate, grow, develop relationships and explore interests through creating a sense of security and belonging. We provide a balance between child led, child initiated and educator-supported learning. Educators plan and create learning environments that encourage children to explore, solve problems, create and construct.

We have strong ties to our local community, with regular visits from local services and strong involvement from our parent community.

Our local schools also support the transition process with visits in our 4-year-old program from local Prep teachers and by acting as hosts for special excursions.

Swan Reach & District Preschool proudly displays the Kinder Tick to help families feel confident that our program is recognised as a funded kindergarten program and:

  • Is led by qualified staff
  • Children benefit from play-based learning
  • The kindergarten program is funded and approved by the Victorian Government
  • Our program complies with government guidelines and the National Quality Framework

Our Preschool has its own vegetable garden. We grow, harvest and cook our fresh produce! We promote healthy eating and teach our children about the importance of healthy foods.

Storypark App

Storypark connects our educators with parents, providing the ability to share news, service updates, progress and exciting moments from kinder to home!

Space to
Explore

Our outdoor play areas are designed to encourage learning and exploration and includes a bike track, sandpit, cubby house, woodwork area and gravel pit.

Safeguarding Children
and Young People

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people, providing safe and fun environments for children to flourish.

Philosophy

Our kindergarten’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.
