Our Centre

Developing a sense of wonder, enthusiasm and a love of learning in each child!

Waverley Foothills Preschool is a place where children build new friendships, learn life skills and gain knowledge about the world around them. We provide our 3 and 4 year old Kindergarten programs in a welcoming, happy, caring, and social environment.

Children are given a voice and the power to make some decisions in our program, as we believe this produces a variety of rich and meaningful experiences. Kindergarten is a very exciting time for the children and their families and we aim for all to have very happy memories of their time at Waverley Foothills Preschool.

Kinder Programs

We offer free 3 and 4 year old kindergarten, with our programs running 15 hours a week.

Healthy
Living

Healthy eating, oral hygiene and sun smart awareness are actively promoted. We focus on keeping our staff and children safe outside, and are official participants in the SunSmart program.

Community
Excursions

We value the involvement of the community in our children’s education and learning and take part in incursions and excursions. These extend children’s learning about themselves and the world around them.

Sustainability

We promote the natural environment and build positive attitudes towards sustainable values. We encourage children to play, observe and interact with nature and we teach and model reusing and recycling in our activities.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to the safeguarding of children and young people, providing safe and fun environments for children to flourish.

Our Preschool’s philosophy guides our teaching and approach to early learning. It is informed by the National Quality Framework and underpins all our service’s operations and daily practices.

The Y has been delivering Early Learning Programs for over 20 years and is passionate about creating safe, fun, educational environments where children can thrive. Enrolment & Sessions Information

Waverley Foothills Preschool’s registration process is managed centrally by the City of Monash and is supported by the Y Kinders’ enrolment team who will provide information and support on any queries relating to your child’s enrolment.

We operate both 4 year old and 3 year old kindergarten programs on the days and times below:
