Engaging and unique PD with Linda Wilson inspires

We love it when we have the guidance of sector experts, supporting us to grow and improve practice!

We were privileged that Linda Wilson from Elite Conselling & Consulting put together a tailor-made session for us, packed full of information, strategies and real-world examples specifically for our teams. Linda was at our Children’s Services Conference in January, with her insight into the sector and spot-on, engaging activities leading to lively discussions and new understanding.

Our teams feel empowered with enhanced communications skills to provide next level customer support, leading to better outcomes, not only for all those that we interact with, but also for our staff wellbeing.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the session delivered by Linda Wilson. It was very relevant to the work we do at the Y and I think everyone in attendance benefitted greatly from the session. There was a nice balance of practical and theoretical components and Linda’s approach to managing difficult conversations will be most useful,” Carolyn Cubela from our People and Culture Team enthusiastically shared.

Lisa Ashmore, from our Finance Team, appreciated how relevant the training was for the participants. “The training that we have at Y Ballarat, has a greater impact on staff development as it is often created specifically for our teams. I found the concepts and scenarios in this session very relatable and going through these has inspired me, and I believe will lead to more successful outcomes.”

Children’s Services Conferences are held four times a year, running over several days and connecting staff from across our regions and our corporate office.

“Sessions cover a breadth of topics and allow us to be progressive and innovative in our service delivery. There are so many aspects ranging from how to deliver on our strategy in day-to-day operations through to the latest approaches in the sector,” said Kristy Turner, Area Director, Bendigo & Mt Alexander.

“These conferences are one of the highlights of my year! I look forward to meeting up with the wider team and enjoy the feeling of all working together and being aligned as we strive for the same goals.”
