As kindergartens around the state resume for the first time in 2022, three communities are doing so in a new partnership with Y Kinders.
Barngeong Reserve Kindergarten, North Ringwood Preschool and Bundoora Preschool have joined the growing Y Kinders family. Two of these kindergartens were previously operated by Committees of Management comprised of volunteers from the parent community and the third transitioned from another Early Years Manager. The Y Kinders’ team was excited to welcome the new services.
“At Y Kinders, we are committed to the idea that all children should have access to inspired early education, and we’re proud to be able to offer our support to these communities. Each of our programs is led by our amazing teachers and educators in the service – our role is to help them deliver relevant, individual educational programs,” said Executive Manager Children’s Services, Vicki Dobson. “We do this with our 88 kindergartens across the state, every day.”
Y Kinders has services across the state, having entered metropolitan Melbourne in the North Eastern suburbs in 2021.
“Every one of our kinders is a unique service, reflecting the community around and in them. We take great pride in maintaining this uniqueness, and look forward to learning more about these three new communities,” Ms Dobson added.
“We have a very specific onboarding process for our new partners, which ensures they are supported throughout the entire transition and we maintain their sense of independence and identity.”
As the 3 services finalise their transition and settle in to the kindergarten year, Y Kinders remains open to hearing from potential new partners.
At Y Kinders, we are always open to new organic opportunities for partnerships in areas that as an EYM, we currently operate.
Ms Dobson explained further, “With our experience and team of specialists, we know that we can provide the level of support that’s required to successfully transition a kindergarten to a new Early Years Management service.”
