Red Cliffs Kindergarten, an “Exceeding” community kinder

December 23, 2025 Inspired Early Education

Congratulations to Red Cliffs Kindergarten!

Red Cliffs Kindergarten in Mildura Rural City Council, has had a big year, moving back to their former location and re-opening in term two in a beautiful, expanded and upgraded facility.

This has made achieving an Exceeding rating all the more special, recognising the team’s dedication, passion and hard work to ensure the continuous delivery of high quality early education.

Partnering with the community

Gayle Collett, Nominated Supervisor is proud of the collective efforts of the team and the high levels of engagement with the community.

Receiving an Exceeding rating is not just a milestone for me as the Nominated Supervisor, but a celebration of our incredible team. Together, we created a culture of quality, care, and continuous improvement,” she said.

As part of the Assessment and Rating process, the Assessor shared that a strength of the service was the collaborative partnerships with families and local community. Examples cited included excursions to Nangiloc Kindergarten to take part in Bush Kinder, and visits by local businesses to provide activities such as environmental education.

A high quality program with strong connections

The kindergarten also participates in events with the local primary school and as part of their ongoing commitment to embed Indigenous perspectives, welcome a local Aboriginal Elder regularly to their sessions.

Educational Leader, Mel, shared that the kinder’s strong pedagogical philosophy, community ties and outstanding efforts of the team contributed to this rating. “An exceeding rating happens when staff, families and the community are all well connected.”

A huge and well deserved congratulations to all the team!
