This year we warmly welcome a new service and team to the Y Kinder family! Dorrington Kindergarten opened its doors for the first time at the commencement of term. Located in Mount Waverley’s newly built Dorrington Child and Family Hub, in the City of Monash, the service offers 66 places.
Thoughtfully designed, the kinder incorporates natural materials and playful elements both inside and out to spark imagination and discovery. Some of these include native animal pawprints adding interest to windows and beautiful sea creature shapes mounted on a circular skylight which create dancing shadows on the floor.
Wonderful outside spaces encourage indoor-outdoor play with large grassy areas, an all-weather deck, mud patch, veggie garden boxes and a long winding bike path.
A free play-based kindergarten program for 3 and 4 year old children is offered, with long day sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Y Kinders is proud to now manage 17 kindergartens in the City of Monash, working in partnership with Council and the community.
Interested families are invited to the upcoming Open Evening on March 19, between 5.00-7.00pm.
